Committed to Honesty and Integrity in all we do.
Wilson & McCracken Brings the Quality of Furniture to the Scale of Architecture.
In 1984 Wilson & McCracken purchased the historic Engine House #9 in Lawrenceville for our home, marking the début of what was destined to become one of the premier Pittsburgh Woodworking facilities. Our work can be seen in numerous homes, churches and museums.
Our services include the Design, Finishing, and Installation of all types of woodworking including Custom Millwork, Custom Cabinets, Custom Furniture, and Custom Entry Doors. We also offer complete Stair Case Restoration. Whether the damage was from theft or vandalism, fire, water, or from being chopped up for apartments, Wilson & McCracken can turn a disaster into the focal point of the entire home. We can match, install and finish all types of paneling, spindles, rope twist spindles, newel posts, finials, carving, and hand-railing (both straight and curved.)
Our small, highly skilled crew is expert in all of the traditional wood working disciplines including: Marquetry, Veneering, Cabinet Making, Furniture Making, and Carving. Our state of the art shop is equipped with the finest traditional European Machinery, and has recently acquired CNC capabilities (setting a new standard for the Pittsburgh Woodworking Community).
Our projects often incorporate work by some of Pittsburgh’s finest Craftsmen in: Stained, and Beveled Glass, Brass Casting, Hardware Restoration, Ornamental Iron work, Architectural Stripping and Refinishing, Plastering and Gold Leaf, and Upholstery, to name a few.
Wilson & McCracken frequently develops working relationships with clients that last for decades. With that in mind, we approach every project as if it were a stepping stone to the next. Let us be your woodworker.
